Augusta LODGE
Our clients had come to us with a lodge style concept but with no direction on how to execute the desired look. Once we settled on a plan that incorporated all of the desired spaces we began adding in craftsman and lodge style elements to the design. We added floating beams to the dining room which balanced the expansive ceilings and tied in this look throughout with traditional installed beams in the great room and master. Because the client did not want the home to feel too rustic we balanced the lodge style with craftsman touches throughout. The beautifully stained knotty alder doors mixed with the paint grade craftsman pillars was one way we achieved this look. We added paint grade bead-board to the kitchen ceiling for a more classic play on the lodge design. The interior fireplace stonework, master wood plank tiles and hand scraped wood floors all became focal points to the lodge design. We continued the lodge feel with the exterior design in the stunning wood garage doors, stained front porch beams, expansive stonework and cedar paneling under the covered porches.
